Wolf Pack Welcome

Get Ready For Wolf Pack Welcome

Wolf Pack Welcome is a program to kick off the Fall semester for the newest members of the Pack! There are a variety of programs and events to help you prepare for classes, meet other incoming students, participate in Loyola traditions, and more. Some programming includes New Student Convocation, keynote speakers discussing social justice and sexual assault, fun late night socials and so much more! Wolf Pack Welcome is mandatory for all first year students, both residential and commuter.  Wolf Pack Welcome occurs from move-in to the first day of the academic year (August 18-22).

For questions about Wolf Pack Welcome, call 504-865-3622 or email orientation@loyno.edu

Need to contact a specific department on campus? Looking for academic support and resources? Have general questions about where to find services on campus? We've got you covered—all in one handy resource! Explore the New Student Resource Guide (The 2021 New Student Resource Guide will be published in August.)!

Due to the on-going COVID-19 pandemic, Wolf Pack Welcome has been adjusted to foster the health and wellness of our Wolf Pack. Please visit this website in July 2021 to learn about the detailed Wolf Pack Welcome schedule.

Printed Schedule & Check-In: A printed copy of the schedule will be included in the welcome
packet that you will receive once you check-in to your Residence Hall. Want to go the paperless route to view the schedule? In August, you will be able to download our guide on the Guidebook Smart Phone app. On this app, you will be able to see who your Krewe Leader is, where your Krewe will meet, your meal pick up location, map of campus, New Student Resource Guide, important documents, and much more! We will also be sending you messages in real time via the app. You will check-in for Wolf Pack Welcome at your first Krewe meeting.

Commuter Students: You will receive your welcome packet, including a hard copy of the schedule at your first Krewe Leader meeting. Make sure to download the Guidebook app to find your Krewe meeting location.

Masks: Loyola requires all individuals who are not fully vaccinated to wear a face mask covering their nose and mouth at all times except when that individual is alone (e.g. personal residence hall rooms). This includes all activities during Wolf Pack Welcome. For more information on health and safety guidelines, click here.

If you will be driving to campus, please visit the Maps & Directions site for detailed information on how to access campus. Parking is available free of charge during Wolf Pack Welcome in both the West Road and Freret Street Garages. Both garages will also have an unloading zone available on the first floor for you to move your items.

Parents and family members can assist students in moving into their residence hall. In the past, parent and family members have left campus once Wolf Pack Welcome begins. Wolf Pack Welcome is for incoming students only.
