Get a preview of LOYNO this summer!
Congratulations on your acceptance to Loyola University New Orleans! We are so excited to welcome you to the Wolf Pack, and we have a special opportunity for you to start your LOYNO experience this summer. You’re invited to attend Havoc’s Sneak Peek, one of two optional preview days designed just for incoming students and their families.
Exciting plans await you:
- See showcases of academic programs and majors
- Have your senses come alive with a taste of New Orleans music, food and traditions
- Take advantage of early access to meet with current students, faculty, and staff
- Visit with campus resources and get help transitioning to campus life
Choose one event date to attend:
- June 18 (participants must register by June 10)
- June 25 (participants must register by June 17)
Each event runs from 8:15 a.m. – 5 p.m. CT. Read our FAQ below for more details about the schedule and suggested overnight accommodations for guests visiting from out of town.

- Your Loyola ID: Stop by the Loyola University Police Department (LUPD) to pick up your Loyola ID in Biever Hall.
- JAMNOLA: Spending time in New Orleans? Pick up complimentary tickets to JAMNOLA at the Help Desks. Limit 3 per student.
- Decompression Zone: Need a moment to yourself, or to digest all the information being given? Head to the Magis Lounge on the lower level of the Danna Student Center.

No, Havoc’s Sneak Peek days are optional for all incoming students.
Since Havoc’s Sneak Peek is a one-day program, overnight accommodations are not included. For overnight accommodations, we are pleased to recommend establishments for their reputation and proximity to campus. Review these recommendations and book your hotel through our online portal for discounted rates.
Check-in will begin at 8:15 a.m. CT and will end at 8:45 a.m. CT. An email with the schedule, locations, and other details will be sent the week before the event.
Yes, Campus Dining will serve lunch in the Orleans Room, with open services from 12 – 2 p.m. The Orleans Room is our on-campus dining hall, giving you a preview of what it will be like to eat lunch as a student.
We will share a detailed schedule closer to the start of the event. Here are some examples of what to expect:
- Group advising to discuss major exploration and planning for your first year
- An academic showcase to learn about our interactive learning spaces and experiential opportunities
- A resource fair to get help with important checklist items like immunizations and FAFSA
- Tours of the residence halls and info for commuter students
- Small-group info sessions based on your specific interests
- New Orleans treats, music, and fun in the Quad
Yes, each student can bring up to two (2) guests. Please specify how many guests you plan to bring when you register.
Havoc’s Sneak Peek is an optional preview event to provide extra support and opportunities for incoming students to engage with the LOYNO community over the summer. Wolf Pack Welcome is the mandatory student orientation program that takes place leading up to the start of the semester. All students must attend Wolf Pack Welcome on August 15–18, 2024.
Havoc’s Sneak Peek is an optional preview event to provide extra support and opportunities for incoming students to engage with the LOYNO community over the summer. Online orientation is mandatory for all incoming students and provides learning modules to prepare students for all aspects of their college experience, including safety, technology, academics, student life, and more. Online orientation modules must be completed before the start of Wolf Pack Welcome.
Yes! Please log into your Admissions Status Portal to upload your headshot in the "Upload Materials" section. Be sure to select "ID Photo" from the dropdown menu. Make sure your photo clearly shows your face and has a vertical orientation. Students who complete this step before Havoc's Sneak Peek will be able to pick up their student IDs during the event.
