Parent Events and Resources

Parents and caregivers, welcome to the Wolf Pack! You're an invaluable part of the Loyola community, providing guidance and support to your students as they embark on their college journey.

To support the important work you do, we offer many opportunities for you to foster relationships with your new Loyola family starting this summer. Take a look at upcoming virtual panels, online resources, and more!

Parent/Caregiver Online Orientation

New incoming students are required to complete online orientation by August 14 to prepare for the start of the semester. We also encourage parents and caregivers to explore the optional parent/guest access on the orientation website. You’ll find a wealth of information about campus activities, academics, and support services for students.

Student Success Center Virtual Panels

Join leaders from the Student Success Center to learn about the support networks and free services available to students on Loyola’s campus. This panel will also discuss common scenarios students face in their first year on campus and how parents/caregivers can help their students navigate these situations.

There will be a chat function enabled, which will allow questions to be answered by a Loyola professional staff member. We will host two sessions, so please choose the one that works best for your schedule.

Session #1 on July 19 at 12 p.m. CT

Session #2 on July 19 at 5 p.m. CT

Student Affairs Virtual Panels

We invite you and your student to join us virtually for a panel discussion to learn about programs and services available to your student through the Office of Student Affairs. Panelists include representatives of Student Health and Counseling, Residential Life, Dining Services, Athletics, Student Conduct, Title IX, Student Life & Ministry, as well as the Campus Bookstore.

There will be a chat function enabled, which will allow questions to be answered by a Loyola professional staff member. We will host two sessions, so please choose the one that works best for your schedule.

How to Access Your Student’s Information

In keeping with the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA), a parent or guardian must be explicitly authorized by their student to receive access to information such as:

  • Educational records
  • Registration status
  • Class schedule
  • Room and board
  • Financial aid
  • Billing information

There are a few different ways your student can give you access. Learn more in the links below:
