Bio

Dale O'Neill, PhD serves as the Assistant Vice President, Department of Student Life and Ministry. She enjoys facilitating co-curricular programs that support the development of the whole student—mind, body, and spirit.  O’Neill oversees various areas of student engagement including: leadership development, Christian Life Communities, retreats, student government, campus activities, fraternity and sorority life, new student programs, intramural sports, club sports, commuter services, university traditions, social justice programs, pastoral counseling, Worship, immersion programs, Iggy's Cupboard and 110+ student organizations.  She also facilities management of the Danna Student Center. In 2018, she was awarded Outstanding Organization Advisor for her work with Loyola's Student Government Association. 

Prior to Loyola, O’Neill served as the Director of Student Involvement at the University of New Orleans for eight years.  During her tenure at the University of New Orleans, she increased campus programming by 12%, increased fraternity and sorority life membership by 45%, implemented the University’s Interfaith Prayer and Meditation room and coordinated the University’s first campus-wide recycling program.  During her time at UNO, she was awarded the University's Presidential Medallion and the American College Personnel Association's Outstanding Mid-Level Professional Award.  O'Neill currently teaches Student Services in Higher Education in the Educational Leadership graduate program at the University of New Orleans.  She has presented regionally and nationally concerning co-curricular and retention programming.

O'Neill has served as the President of Louisiana Association of College and University Personnel Administrators, Chair of the National Association of Campus Activities' Student Leadership Institute, and various positions within the American College Personnel Association, including Convention Access Chair, Chair for the Coalition for (Dis)Ability, and Vice Chair of the Ambassadors program.
