Congratulations on your acceptance to Loyola University New Orleans! You are now a member of a distinguished community of scholars and have made an important first step to prepare for a civic-minded life of purpose. New Student Orientation is a remarkable opportunity to continue your journey, to discover Loyola, and to find your true passion.

Opportunities abound to become immediately engaged with our community, and we encourage your active involvement in the academic, cocurricular, and mission-driven programs of the university. We share your excitement during this important time of transition and eagerly await your arrival!

Dates & Registration for New Student Orientation

Loyola University New Orleans will host New Student Orientation sessions this summer to welcome our newest students to be part of the pack! All students are expected to attend an Orientation session over the summer.  The dates for Orientation sessions are listed below:

Wednesday, June 19 - Friday, June 21
Sunday, June 23 - Tuesday, June 25
Wednesday, June 26 - Friday, June 28
Sunday, June 30 - Tuesday, July 2
Monday, August 19- Tuesday, August 20 (This session reserved for international students, transfer students, students currently abroad, or by special request)

Orientation registration is now available!  All students will register for sessions using their LORA (Loyola Online Records Access) account.  For more details about Orientation registration, visit our registration page.

International Students

Coming to a new country can be a challenging experience, but with the right preparation it can be exciting and full of opportunities!  For international students, the Center for International Education (CIE) is available to help you adjust to Loyola and the U.S.

To assist you with the transition from your home country to Loyola, CIE requires that all new international students register for the August 19-20 New Student Orientation session.  International students will have educational sessions specific for international students on Monday, August 19th. 

Transfer Students

We are excited to have our newest transfer students joining the Loyola community. To prepare you for your Loyola experience, transfer students must register for the August 19-20 New Student Orientation session.  This session will provide information on university programs and services, placement testing, academic advising, and more.  

Online Students

As a Loyola student who is enrolled in online programs, it is important that you are familiar with programs, services, and policies related to your experience. Click here for information that will help you transition to Loyola!
