Class Descriptions 

 

Burn-N-Tone

Burn-n-Tone is a one hour class that covers all the components of a complete workout – cardio, strength training, balance and flexibility.  And the step makes it easy for all levels to work out together from beginner to expert.  No judging here - come out for some fun and fitness with friends!

Twerk-N-Tone

Check out this customized dance class that features popular local New Orleans 'bounce' and hip hop/rap songs with your favorite and latest dance moves! Whether you’re a male or female, this class is customized to fit your dancing style!

 

Yoga (Iyengar)

A form of Hatha Yoga, Iyengar Yoga focuses on the structural alignment of the body through the practice of asanas, or poses. The aim is to unite the body, mind and spirit for health and well-being. Yoga increases strength, balance, and flexibility, and can be done by anyone of any age or body type.  This is a progressive class, in that we will add more advanced poses over time.  This is a Level I-II Class that can benefit beginners as well as yoga practitioners at all levels.

 

Yoga (Hatha)

Most forms of yoga in the West can be classified as Hatha Yoga. Hatha simply refers to the practice of physical yoga postures, meaning your Ashtanga, vinyasa, Iyengar and Power Yoga classes are all Hatha Yoga. The word “hatha” can be translated two ways: as “willful” or “forceful,” or the yoga of activity, and as “sun” (ha) and “moon” (tha), the yoga of balance. Hatha practices are designed to align and calm your body, mind, and spirit in preparation for meditation.

 

Hip-Hop HIIT

Ditch the treadmill and elliptical machine and join us for some HIIT (High Intensity Interval training). Alternating circuits of 20 seconds of hard push followed by 10 seconds of rest  

Tabata has been proven effective for improving your cardiorespiratory endurance and torch calories.

 

Zumba

Unleash your inner dance star with this fun class! Featuring beat music and high-energy moves that will get you moving and keep you fit! Zumba ® is a dance fitness class. Our main goal is our wellness and classes are fun, energetic and comprehensive workouts. We work different muscle groups with each world rhythm with the motto ‘respect and listen to your body’. You don’t need to be a dancer, all you need is the desire to be healthy. Come join our Zumba Fitness® party!
