Self Care: Community

If you struggle with some social anxiety, this is a great time to make friends without feeling too much pressure. Check out the Student Life and Ministry (@loyno_slm) and SGA (@loyno_sga) instagram pages to stay up to date with group engagement opportunities, as well as other resources for connecting student organizations and friends online.
Remember to set aside time to connect with friends. All Loyola students have access to Google meet and Zoom. Video chat, play charades, do karaoke, or do virtual study groups. Netflix Party enables you to watch movies with friends remotely.
Looking for spiritual guidance during this difficult time? Student Life and Ministry hosts a weekly live streamed Mass every Sunday at 10:30am from Ignatius Chapel, viewable here.
Student Life and Ministry is also offering spiritual companioning. Call 504-865-3622 or email getinvolved@loyno.edu to request an appointment with a Jesuit or university minister.
Need to talk with someone in a spiritual context? Pastoral counseling and the sacrament of Reconciliation is available with University Minister Fr. Gregg Grovenburg, S.J. (ghgroven@loyno.edu).
