Paolo Roy, LMSW, holds a Master's degree in Social Work from Tulane University, and a B.A. in Mass Communication from Louisiana State University. Paolo takes a humanistic approach to their therapeutic practice that emphasizes and honors each individual's unique journey toward self-fulfillment. Their work is informed by an understanding of several theoretical approaches including narrative therapy, motivational interviewing, and person-centered therapy. Paolo's prior work experience includes three years as an elementary school teacher in New Orleans. Their areas of special interest include intergenerational racialized trauma, depression, anxiety, ADHD, addiction, LGBTQ issues, and working with students with marginalized identities.
