Spring New Student Orientation is a one-day program held on campus for all incoming students.  Below is an outline of the New Student Orientation schedule.  A detailed schedule will be provided at New Student Orientation Check-In.

Parents and Guardians are invited to join their student for spring orientation. The cost for spring orientation is $20 per guest. Due to space limitiations, each student will be allowed a max of two guest. Guest can register here


 2019 Spring New Student Orientation Schedule

Location: Audubon Room, 2nd Floor Danna Student Center

Check-in for New Student Orientation and enjoy a continental breakfast.


9:30-9:45 a.m. WELCOME

Location: Audubon Room, 2nd Floor Danna Student Center

Following check-in, you will be welcomed to Loyola by the Executive Director of Student Affairs, Alicia Bourque, PhD. After the welcome and prayer, you will meet your Krewe Leader who will be your guide throughout the day.


9:50-11:10 a.m. WALK AND LEARN TOUR

Location: Pan-American Life Student Success Center, 2nd Floor Monroe Library      

We will begin our tour in the Pan-American Life Student Success Center where you will learn about the wide range of academic assistance such as: individualized tutoring, study groups, workshops, academic development courses, and support programs for Loyola’s diverse student body. Students will receive a hands-on introduction to key Loyola systems including Loyola Online Records Access (LORA), Gmail, and OrgSync. Following the SSC, students will also tour the Ignatius Chapel, University Sports Complex, and Danna Student Center.

Learn about programs and resources you can take advantage of at Loyola including Counseling and Student Health, Student Life and Ministry, Athletics, Residential life, Dining services, Campus safety, Student conduct, and the University Bookstore.


12:00-12:35 p.m. LUNCH

Location: Faculty Staff Dining Room, 2nd Floor Danna Student Center

Enjoy lunch and meet other incoming Loyola students and families. During lunch you will hear from our Chief Diversity Officer, Sybol Anderson, PhD and our Residential Life Community Directors.  



Learn about academic expectations at Loyola.  Academic advising will be held directly following the College Session. Academic advising is for students only.

2:00-2:30 p.m. Taking care of business

You will end the day taking care of your last minute needs visiting the bookstore, various campus dining locations, and other university offices, such as Financial Aid, that are open until 4:45 pm., feel free to use this time to explore campus and get to know Loyola! Welcome to the Wolf Pack!
