Planning Your Visit

We look forward to welcoming you to campus for New Student Orientation.  Check out the folowing information about accommodations, getting to campus, what to pack, and more!

Meal Tickets

Student lunch on Day 2 of Orientation is covered under the student's Orientation Fee. This fee is billed along with tuition for the fall semester. Parent, family, and guests may purchase a meal ticket for lunch on Day 2 during check-in on Day 1 or before lunch on Day 2.

Student Overnight Accommodations

During the June New Student Orientation sessions, students are invited to stay in a residence hall on-campus.  This gives students an opportunity to sample what it will be like to live on campus.  Students can indicate their preference to stay on campus when they register for Orientation.  There is no additional charge to stay on-campus during Orientation.  Each student staying on campus will be provided with basic bed linens including sheets and a pillowcase, pillow, and towel.  Orientation Leaders, known as "Krewe Leaders" will stay in the residence hall and be a resource for students during their stay.  The front desk of the residence hall will be monitored by Residential Life staff.

Unfortunately we are not able to accommodate early or extended stays due to early arrival or late departure.

Parent and Family Overnight Accommodations

Parents and families are invited to attend New Student Orientation with their student.  Please see the Hotel Accommodations section that features local hotels, Loyola rates, and contact information.  Please don't forget to ask if there is a Loyola parent discount when making your reservation.
