Keeping Spring Fitness Goals with Athletics and Wellness

Many people make fitness goals as the new year starts. At the Sports Complex, we are here to help with all of your fitness goals year round. Here are a few things we will be offering this semester:

Group Exercise: Our amazing Group Exercise instructors will keep you motivated throughout the year. Our newest classes include an early morning yoga called Yin Yang Yoga and Cardio Happy Hour which will take place on Fridays from 4pm-5pm and will feature a different type of Cardio class each week.

Fitness Goal Setting: New this semester we will have Fitness Goal Setting Sessions where a personal trainer will walk you through the best way to set fitness goals for yourself. At these sessions we will also show you different apps that can help keep you motivated.

Intramural Sports: Spring Intramural Sports include some of our big sports like Basketball and Softball, but this spring you will additionally find Water Polo and Bocce along with one of our most requested sports… Soccer!

Glow Play: Scheduled one Thursday night each month, our glow play events will include some traditional and non-traditional sports-glowified.

Take Care of Yourself Tuesdays: Starting in February, Take Care of Yourself Tuesdays will take place once a month on Tuesdays during the window. We will have free chair massages, group exercise classes and fitness assessments. Also, a Weight Lifting Competition will be scheduled in the month of March. For all of you who have wanted a shot at breaking some Loyola weight lifting records, start training!

National Recreational Sports & Fitness Day: National Rec Sports & Fitness Day is February 22nd and we will have lots of events going on in the Sports Complex on that day including What’s Your 20? Triathlon #2. If you didn’t have a chance to participate in the Triathlon this fall, we are giving you another chance. All triathlon events will take place in the Sports Complex and it is all based on time.

Personal Trainers: If you really want to personalize your workout, we have personal trainers available at the Sports Complex. They are all certified and can help you achieve your fitness goals.

The Sports Complex hours are Monday - Thursday 6:30am - 10:00pm, Friday 6:30am - 8:00pm, Saturday 9:00am - 8:00pm, and Sunday 1:00pm - 8:00pm. We hope to see you soon.
