Student Advocates for Gender Equality (SAGE)

Student Advocates for Gender Equality was founded with the purpose of
breaking down gender stereotypes and social expectations. We focus on
topics related to both men and women because we realize that without
cooperation among the genders, there can be no progress. For instance, we
would like to encourage women into the STEM fields while simultaneously
eradicating taboos around the idea of a stay-at-home dad. We program
events that actively try to raise awareness about the gender issue on
campus, often working with the Women's Resource Center and other student
organizations. These events include bringing speakers to campus,
sponsoring forums, participating in the  planning of Take Back the Night,
and conducting other projects that inform the Loyola community of gender
inequalities.
