Summer Camp

Loyola Summer Day Camp is open to boys and girls ages 5 - 13 years. Groups are co-educational and campers are assigned according to age. It is our goal to provide each camper with a fun-filled and rewarding summer experience.

Registration

Early-Bird Registration for 2013 camp will begin Monday, March 11 and go through Friday, April 5. Regular registration will take place starting Monday, April 8. Call the University Sports Complex at (504) 864-7539 to receive a brochure or register over the phone. Please use a separate form for each child. A confirmation letter and health form will be emailed to all parents following acceptance of registration.  The health form must be returned promptly to keep on file.

Camp Schedule

Session 1: Monday, June 10 - Friday, June 21
Session 2: Monday, June 24 - Friday, July 5

Camp is closed on Thursday, July 4

Session 3: Monday, July 8 - Friday, July 19

Camp begins at 8:45am and ends at 3:15pm. Campers may be dropped off at 8:15am and picked up no later than 3:45pm. Extended care fees will be charged for campers arriving or departing outside these times.

Summer Camp Activities

Basketball, Football, Soccer, Kickball, Bowling, Floor Hockey, Recreational Games, Wolf Den, Arts & Crafts and more. The Wolf Den includes board games and other activities specific for younger children.

Swimming: All children will have daily swim time. Lifeguards (in addition to counselors) monitor children during daily swim time. 

Field Trips: At least one field trip per session. Trips have included: Audubon Zoo, Aquarium of the Americas, Laser Tag, Bowling, Skate Country, Global Wildlife, New Orleans Museum of Art, and the Insectarium.

Special Camp Days: Special camp days may include movies, snowballs, inflatables, or a theme day.

Dates for field trips and special days will be announced in a newsletter on the first day of each session.

Camp Tuition Rates

A non-refundable deposit of $75.00 per session is due at the time of registration and will be applied toward the tuition. No spot will be held until the deposit is received. 

Tuition Deadline: Tuition and other fees are due 2 weeks preceding the first day of each session.

Refund Policy: A full refund of tuition will be given if a request is received prior to the tuition deadline for each session. No refund of tuition will be given after this deadline. Fax requests to (504) 864-7364.

Sessions 1 & 3 (individual sessions):

  • Student/Faculty/Staff: $230.00
  • Member: $270.00
  • Non-Member: $310.00

Session 2:

  • Student/Faculty/Staff: $210.00
  • Member: $250.00
  • Non-Member: $290.00 

Extended Care: Extended care is provided by camp counselors. Children may participate on a daily basis or may register prior to the session to receive a discounted rate. Before care begins at 7:15am and after care ends at 5:45pm.

  • Before Care Advance Fee: $50.00/session
  • Before Care Daily Fee: $6.25
  • After Care Advance Fee: $70.00/session
  • After Care Daily Fee: $8.25

Campers in after care will receive a snack. Campers not picked up by 5:45pm will be charged an additional $8.25.

Early Bird (on or before 4/5): tuition must be paid in full at time of registration.

Sessions 1 & 3:

  • Student/Faculty/Staff: $220.00
  • Member: $260.00
  • Non-Member: $300.00

Session 2:

  • Student/Faculty/Staff: $200.00
  • Member: $240.00
  • Non-Member: $280.00 

Multiple Session: sign up for more than 1 session and receive a $10.00 discount per session.  

Lunch Program

Loyola dining services offers a daily lunch which will include a choice of entree, salad, vegetables, dessert and drink. 

  • a cold lunch (ham or turkey sandwich, fruit, chips, and drink) will be served when dining services has prior university commitments and for field trips.

Sessions 1 & 3: $55.00

Session 2: $50.00

Daily Cash Price: $7.25

Lunch fees are not included in camp tuition. Campers not participating in the lunch program should bring a lunch daily. 

Drop-Off/Pick-Up

Morning drop-off and afternoon pick-up will take place on the 4th floor of the parking garage.  Counselors will be available to assist the children in and out of the vehicle.  For morning drop-off you are welcome to park and bring your child up to camp.  This is the only designated location for pick-up and drop-off.  We will no longer be using the first floor as a drop-off location.

Insurance

Summer camp tuition includes an Immediate Care Accident Policy to cover your child while participating in camp activities.
